Philadelphia on a weeknight

I was going to meet a beautiful Craigslist dresser and hopefully take it home. Chadoh and I wrestled it down a bunch of twirly stairs to discover that it would not fit in my car. So we wrestled it back up the long, twirly staircase.

I also wanted to meet Philly Aids Thrift. There was no parking. It is near South Street. Chadoh dropped me off and drove around. There were no dressers that were as beautiful or cheap as beautiful, too-big Craigslist dresser. So sad.

Chadoh wanted to check out a hackerspace that was having an open house. After Chad explained his related interests, hacker member looked at me and said, “I hope you’re not just along for the ride. I hope you have interests, too.”

“I have interests. They just don’t happen to align with yours.”

Lots of standing, nodding. Lots of not sure where to look.

This caught my eye, though, on the way out of the lofty building, after riding an antique elevator with no real walls.
