Low Key NYE

I wasn’t feeling any huge elaborate to-do for NYE this year. I’ve been fighting this seriously disgusting throat/sinus thing for over a week, and staying up all night and drinking too much whiskey didn’t feel like a good idea for my body. I spent most of the last moments of 2012 laying in bed and drinking lots of water so I could spend the first moments of 2013 with some of our favorite people.

Chris and Lori and Chad and I ate a fancy dinner in Center City, with reservations at 6:15. It was interesting to see the NYE 6:15 dinner crowd. We felt a little out of place, but eating dinner surrounded by older rich people just made us feel fancier.

We all came back to West Philly by 9ish, played Dixit, drank more wine, (hot toddy for me — I was starting to feel pretty awful by this point) and watched the ball drop. Then, we started all falling asleep by 12:30. Happy New Year, we’re old!
