So, a shift. A shift in the form of a job offer. Full time, permanent. A full-time, permanent proofreading job nearby.

It has been over a year and a half since I have had a full-time, permanent situation. It has been almost three years since I have had a full-time, permanent situation working with words.

And now, I must wait some more. But really, what’s another two weeks on top of the past three years?

Oh, I have a few tasks to finish up with student teaching. Bulletin boards, observation papers, a written unit plan project. Nothing nearly as exciting as a new job.

My whole path of employment since graduation doesn’t really make much sense. Doesn’t flow.

But it’s exciting and comforting to think that all of my seemingly unrelated jobs have taught me something that is applicable in my new situation. Right now, it’s a little hard to see how a teaching certification fits into all of that, but I wholeheartedly believe it will all make sense someday.
